Gloria LaVern
Jackson is President and CEO, of Joint Logistics Managers, Inc.
(JLMI), Prince George, VA. Ms. Jackson, as the sole owner, is
responsible for delivering innovative, value-added services on
schedule that are fully responsive to customer’s needs that enable
them to support their mission and vision. She ensures the goals;
principles and values of the company are maintained. She has proven
her performance in managing people, programs, facilities and budgets
in national and international logistical organizations.
Ms. Jackson
earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from North Carolina
Central University, Durham, NC; a Master of Education Administration
from Virginia State University, Ettrick, VA; and a Graduate Studies
degree in Management and Military Science from the US Army Command
and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, KS.
Ms. Jackson received a Direct Commission as a Second Lieutenant in
the Women’s Army Corps (WAC) in 1972. She was later detailed to
the Quartermaster Corps. She retired from the U.S. Army with the
rank of Lieutenant Colonel and is a recognized authority in
Logistics Management, Training Development, Planning and
Programming.
Under Ms
Jackson’s leadership, JLMI’s growth and expansion have been very
steady since becoming operational in April 2000. This past year has
included many challenges with profitable outcomes, to include:

The
pending relocation of Corporate Headquarters to brand new
facilities.
·
Increase in revenues of 113%.
·
Increase in our employee base of 172%.
·
JLMI has expanded from one location in 2000 to 13 satellite
operations in 6 states, to include VA, NC, GA, TX, MD, and AZ and
Iraq. Three of these sites were established in 2003-2004.
Ms Jackson is a
firm believer that the real power of success is the ability to give
and she demonstrates that strongly by the organizations that she
belongs to and supports.

She
is a Board of Director of the Technology Resource Center in Jackson
Ward.
·
She
is a Founding member of the National Association of Certified
Government Business Enterprises (NACGBE).
·
She
is a supportive member of the MBL. JLMI actively supported the MBL
annual golf outing by acting as the volunteer Committee Chairperson
and providing resources via funds and JLMI personnel in support of
that event.

She
is an active supportive member of VMSDC.
·
She
is a Lifetime member of NCCU and VSU Alumni Associations.
·
She
is a National Founding Member of Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP).
·
She
founded JLMI Preserving Communities (JPC) Foundation, a non-profit
organization committed to preserving communities.
Ms. Jackson won
recognition for her success from the Richmond, VA based Metropolitan
Business League, winning the top honor award of “2005 Entrepreneur
of the Year”.
Ms Jackson enjoys
reading, skiing, gardening and doing anything with her family. Her
level of integrity is founded on her faith in God and her unwavering
commitment to serve him.
Although she has
experienced living all over the world, Ms Jackson has chosen to make
her home in Prince George, VA.
